Nu i och med nästa månadsinsättning i min kvantitativa portfölj tänkte jag gå igenom hur den gått hittills. Jag startade min kvantitativa portfölj den 19:e november med inköp i 10 aktier efter Magic formula + P/B. Detta köp gick sådär, då jag lyckades pricka in Lucara, Tethys och Medivir som gått ner med -20 % till -30 % tills idag. Därför så har köpet endast gett 7 % avkastning mot index på 20 %. Kollar vi på den totala utvecklingen så har den blivit som följer för min portfölj:
Under de följande två månaderna så gjorde jag ännu mer forskning i ämnet, läste ett antal forskningsartiklar och böcker om kvantitativ värdeinvestering och kom fram till att värde + momentum är den bästa kombinationen. Jag kom fram till att det bästa värdemåttet är EBIT/EV och bästa momentummåttet är 6 månaders prisuppgång. Jag ville också testa EBIT/EV mot P/B, som är ett annat känt värdemått. Jag genomförde inköpen i månadsskiftet januari/februari och gjorde sedan en insättning i slutet av februari efter EBIT/EV plus momentum. Utvecklingen för dessa två senaste månaderna har ungefär varit som index:
En anledning för att utvecklingen varit likt index är att antalet innehav i portföljen är 26, men där vissa har större vikt än andra på grund av fler inköp. Med mina 5 inköp per månad tror jag att det är runt det jag hamnar, då flera aktier kommer att köpas flera gånger.
Så hittills så har mina första två månader inte gått så bra, och de följande två har gått likt index. Jag tycker själv att det är för kort tid att utvärdera det på, men det är intressant att se en uppdatering.
Jag har också fått höra en del kritiska röster angående min kvantitativa portfölj och dessa har fått korrekt att metoden inte alltid slår index. Till dem säger jag detta är endast en del av mitt totala sparande. Jag kommer gå mot att ha mer i denna, men kommer fortfarande ha en del kvar i min indexportfölj. Jag skrev tidigare att jag ska lägga allt passivt sparande i denna portfölj, men insett att det bästa är att försäkra sig om att jag har rätt strategi innan jag gör för stora drag. Det blir lite av min ”hata att förlora” strategi, genom att alltid satsa en del på index. Just nu känns det säkrast att se hur det går för portföljen och läsa på mer. Själv har jag blivit övertygad av att marknaden inte är effektiv och att en kvantitativ värdestrategi kan utnyttja det bra, men det känns ändå som att jag behöver lite mer än några månaders erfarenhet innan jag satsar alldeles för mycket på det.
Haha, it might not always work. But I'm still not convinced after 4 months of underperformance that it will stop to work. I will run it in parallel with my indexportfolio and my active portfolio and see how they all perform compared to each other. Still in the beginning of my investment career, so the majority of investments/savings is still ahead. Keeping an open mind.
