Idag kollade jag in OECD:s data för medellöner enligt köpkraftsparitet i olika länder sedan år 2000. Intressant nog så låg Sverige, Finland och Norge strax under Italien och Spanien år 2000 för att nu nästan kommit ikapp Tyskland och Storbritannien. Sverige och Finland har gått hand i hand och har gått från att ha 80 % av de tyska lönerna till 95 %. Norge har tagit ett rejält skutt och Irland likaså. Kvar med högst medellöner är USA och Schweiz, däremot ser det ut som att andra länder börjar närma sig deras nivåer.

Kollar man på kärnländerna inom euroområdet så har deras löner legat ganska stabilt och varken ökat eller minskat speciellt mycket. De europeiska lönerna är ganska sammansatta och det är inte så stora löneskillnader. Det är däremot större skillnad i USA där medellönen ökat men medianlönen är konstant, vilket nedanstående diagram kan vara missvisande. Så i euroområdet har det skett en marginell löneökning sen år 2000, där främst Frankrike har närmat sig Tyskland.

Kollar man på årlig tillväxt i reallöneökningar så visar det sig att Sverige och Finland har ökat med ungefär 1,6 % per år, medan de många av euroländerna har ökat med 0,4 % per år. Om vi antar att denna trend fortsätter, då är Sverige förbi Tyskland inom några år, och sedan Nederländerna till 2027. Vi får se om det händer och om trenden fortsätter. I dagsläget så ser rapporterna ganska lovande ut om utvecklingen de kommande åren för svensk ekonomi. I så fall skulle Sverige ha bland de högsta lönerna inom EU om man räknar köpkraftskorrigerat.
